The CDC has reported a measles outbreak, with a reported estimate of 764 cases, just from May 1st to 3rd. This has been noted across 23 states. This number is said to be the most recorded since 1994. This is of concern because although measles has been declared eliminated since 2000, these reports seem to indicate otherwise, and have called for attention and individual evaluations. Most importantly, some people with previous vaccinations of the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine, have been reported in outbreaks, although many of the cases are related to unvaccinated individuals.
